New here

I live in washington DC

My ride is a 1969 Toyota Corolla KE15 Sprinter

My Motor that I just found is An old school big 4 port cosmo 13b. I got it out of an aotomatic RX4 with 65000 miles on it, it was totalled and running when it was killed!

Im currently working on the car, collecting parts to make it complete, and wheels along with suspension.

I want to street port the motor and overhaul it.

Hey guys whats up. Im new to owning a rotary, but not new to fixing them. I just recently bought a 1990 RX7 5-speed Convertible. Its all stock for right now, and its blue with a black top, and blue leather interior. It's only got 42k original miles, thats why I bought it. If you wanna check out pics here you go

Hello all, I'll try to keep this as brief as possible... My name is Eric, otherwise known as K.ron. I live in Ramstein, Germany with my mother. I moved here at the end of Febuary this year to help her after the passing of my father. I left a really good job to come here and work at a crappy one in order to keep a military id and be able to stay without having to return to the states every so often to "refresh" my visa. I've been a car guy all of my life thanks to my father, but in the past few years my job has prevented me from having any time whatsoever to work on any car. A few years ago I had owned a 1986 GTU with a newly rebuilt motor and instantly feel in love with rotarys. Now that I'm here I have (some) time to play with cars and my first choice when I started looking was a 1988 RX7 Turbo II which I found for a really good deal from a loving mechanic that luckly had taken very good care of it. After purchasing it in April, I have been working steadily to make it better, but am having a little bit of a hard time finding what I need for it here due to the rarity of FC's in Europe in general. Most of the parts I've bought have been from the states and it's been a slow process due to the length of time shipping things here takes. However, I am hoping to have her mostly finished by the end of the year. That is untill I can get my hands on a newly rebuilt and streetported engine (sometime early next year hopefully). As I live close to several really nice tracks (the Nurenburg Ring is less than 45 minutes away and the Hockenheim track is even closer) and I use my car as a daily driver I am looking to modify it for streetability with the occasional track/drift day. Since the car was in realitivly good shape when I bought it, I'm at this point fixing small problems that occur in an 18 year old car. Presently I am upgrading the suspention and drivetrain and soon hope to be getting her into paint. I'm keeping the engine mostly stock with a few minor upgrades here and there in lew of putting a rebuilt streeported engine in as I mentioned before. When I get the car finished I will be dedicating it in loving memory of my father because if he were still here I know he would be (is) at my side every step of the way. I have been a member of RX7Club.com for a little while now and stumbled upon this website during my many hours of research and decided to go ahead and register as one can not have to many resources for rotarys. I'm sorry for the uber long post, but I just wanted to let you all know where I was comming from since you all seem to be a friendly bunch. Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Howdy, folks. Just discovered Nopistons a couple of days ago. My brother and I race an '80 in SCCA ITA/IT7 road course events. We've been doing that for about three years. Just sold one of our RX-7s and the other one is having its motor rebuilt. We'll be racing again at the end of October. If you're interested, our web site at http://nutdriver.org tells some of our stories, and has photos of our cars.

Thanks,

Doug "Lefty" Franklin

First post.I just bought a grey 1986 Rx-7 and a white 1988 one.both non-turbo. I'm in Owasso Oklahoma, near Tulsa. So far I know nothing about rotery engines. The grey one sprang a clutch fluid leak this evening and I have no idea how to fix it. The white one has a broken apex (I'm told) though I'm not sure what that is yet either, but it does run.the grey one has a rebuilt engine with 30k miles on it but I want that engine to be put into the white car cause the white one's got really nice interior, tinted windows,& blue ground effects.Any ideas are appreciated so I can learn about my cars and turn the white one into my new hobby/baby!
