Hey everyone,

I am an avid Rotary fan, and have been driving my '86 base model for nearly 4 years now. I hail from a small town in Iowa, but am currently studying mechanical engineer at the Naval Academy. If things work out, I should be getting myself an Fd this summer, so odds are, I will be haunting that board to make the best of what little money I have.

Glad to join the merry band of Rotorheads,

~Eric

Hello from Okinawa, Japan. I just bought my first rotary a few months ago. I found a really good deal on a 1992 Efini FD3S. The motor was recently rebuilt just over a 1k miles ago. These all aftermarket parts were purchased new less than 6 months.

These are the mods that are on the car:

-Prodrive GC07 17x7.5/8.5 wheels

-3in HKS Hi Power CB exhaust

-Apexi intakes

-HKS SSQ BOV

-Blitz "Uras Edition" Boost Controller

-Apexi SAFC II

-Defi Imperial BF Link Boost Gauge and Oil temp w/controller and warning light

-Alarm Clock size tach w/shift light (unknown brand)

-Momo Race steering wheel

-Mazda speed carbon fiber shifter

-HKS Hipermax II coilover suspension

Parts awaiting install:

-Volk TE37 18x8.5/9.5 wheels; these are currently white and I will be getting them painted either in Gold, Silver, or gunmetal.

-Dunlop Direza tires

-Charge speed wider front fenders

-99 spec replica wing

-Stage 2 street ported motor w/1000cc primary/1000cc secondary---that's what the previous owner said, I'll need to double check. Is there a way to find out the size by looking at the injectors? The motor is said to have only a couple of months of use on it. The guy I bought it from never got the chance to put it in his FD.

-T-78 Turbo w/manifold

-Greddy FMIC 2 core w/ all the plumbing

-HKS external wastegate--don't know what size?

-Innovate LM-1 wide band

-Factory dual oil coolers

-2 extra doors, color matched

-1 extra stock hood, color matched

I think that's everything. My plans are to bring the car back to the U.S. with me when I leave here in 3 years. I'm sure the Stage 2 motor won't pass emmissions test, that I will need to pass in order to make this car street legal. I plan to buy a DIY step by step video/book, then I'll do a rebuild, replace all the hoses/lines, and clean it up.
