Someone Forgot To Tell This Guy

Cool! Glad we sorted that out. One of the sad things common to both our worlds is the detractors. If I had a buck for every SOB that said 'gee I thought it would be faster' or make more hp or or......
It seems everyone has a mate who has a 20b thats 'gunna' make 600+.....yet these engines have been available since 95 here and there are still only two actually on the road!
And no-one gets the 'it can but I don't care it's good like it is' attitude!
5 years ago nothing could touch it on the road but now mates have 300+ hp Silvias and the Aussie sedan iron has got faster. Commodores option a Callaway 400hp LS1 and Falcons have a stonking turbo 4 litre 6. The old white box still shuts em down, but doesn't ruin their weekend. This issue needs attention...... I need tears!
The 20B comes out for a rebuild soon and I may grab some ideas that I see on nopistons that I don't see here, like injectors. The plan is 400hp at sane boost & rpm. I am giving Rotary Aviation apex seals a try, the NOS shot sounds interesting too. Be like Tysons fist........goodnight!
Cheers

i do agree with you Jim.....I'd rather have a fast but reliable car than a really fast car which engine might blow up anytime........but whats fun here is that whenever you want.....you can have a faster car for a race if needed....
its a nice freedom of choice....

Here is a dyno pull from a month ago. See how quick I get to the 300 HP neighborhood. I get there and stay there. I probably need more tuning espcially where that dip is up high. For some weird reason my car does not like the dyno. It boosts higher on the street than on the rollers.
