So I'm driving home from my girlfriend's, N on I-35. I see my tach has started really tripping out. It's bouncing from my 2700rpm cruise to like 9000+ occasionally, plus everytime it bounces it's beeping. So, I change the PFC monitoring to include Engine Revs and they're fine. So it keeps tripping out and beeping and generally being annoying so I kinda turn up the radio and ignore it, knowing I have to pull my friggin dash apart... The whole time, I'm not noticing this honda thing next to me. I think it mighta been an old-school accord or something. 4 guys in it, and trying to get me to run him. Well, what caught my attention was him getting about 5 feet in front of me and laying on the hazards.



Needless to say, downshifted to third, dumped the clutch and punched it as I exited to I-40 E. Although, I shoulda gave'em the hazards!

My FD's tach, wacked out on me on several occasion's; and on even more occasion's people thought they beat my car when I wasn't even racing them.. Go figure

 

Eh, nothin to worry about. Your tach was jumpy and you weren't paying attention, while 4 Ricers think you're already racing him.



Wouldn't even think twice about it. You'd kill it either way. Personally I think it's pretty reckless to race with more than 2 ppl in the car like that. I bet they're probably talking **** to their friends too. *sigh*
