Rx7 Vs Rx-8
Trini,
Age has nothing to do w/an FD's performance. Even if it had 150K and still ran like it did out of the showroom, it'd perform just as well as say.....a 26K FD3S stock.
It all depends on what condition the car is in. You can't expect a beat up FD3S(which is a sin mind you!!) with fucked up seals and sputtering to hold its own against an RX8.

you've gotta be kidding me. you think a 10 yr old FD will be as fast as a new one?
hey buddy, things break and these cars are no exception. i rarely meet an RX-7 owner who has his car running in perfect condition.
did you read that article in car & driver (i think) and sport compact car where they tested teh cars from 2F&2F. those cars were nowhere near stock in performace, and they even had some performance upgrades.
it would be a close one between the 7 & the 8, assuming the 7 was stock and 10 yrs old, and the win would go to the driver. new, the 7 would win, obviously.

I raced a few rx-8's so far, all of them on the highway though. (one from a stoplight, but no corners,
) The FD pulled away from all of them no matter what the speed. I know one of them wasn't the high power model, but I know at least 2 that were. I am sure that it would hurt me in the corners, but in the straights, a stock FD kills a stock 8.
