There are some quick Civics out there. I've got a buddy who posts over at rx7club.com with a t78 FD running 20+psi. He thrashed a 700rwhp Supra on the highway, then got pulled bad by a 4-door, sleeper civic...from like a 40 roll.



Nevertheless its still a civic, as mentioned above, everyone has one, and IMO they have absolutely no sex appeal regardless of exterior mods.

 

I don't have one. I like them when they run N/A form at the track. Those little four bangers sound so cool!! I like it more than hearing a big throaty v8 sound.

Yep, I like hearing the high pitch scream before I hear something that sounds like it is gonna take a ****. That's what attracted me to rotaries(turbo'd at first), was the high pitched scream of the turbo's spooling.

hey every one you cant bad mouth the civics. i know 90 percent of the people who drive hondas think they are ******* vin diesel but some actually know what they are doing. and as for autox every one knows how good the miata is right? well the crx is right behind it. and the twin turbo set up is very possible if its 2 small turbos. maybe 2 13g's from a dsm or some thing like that. hell when your car weighs 1900 pounds it doesnt take much to make it go fast. and if you gave me 5 grand i could probably buy and build a crx that runs 11-12's. dont get me wrong though most people who drive hondas around are ******* idiots, which is why i dont own one any more , cept for the dedicated autox car.

 

N/A Honda's sound like ***. Straight booty. V8 sounds = sex.

 

V8 sounds like its about to take a massive ****. A little 4 banger does not sound like much, but when it screams down the track at an 11-12 sec run, it's like whoa, what the ****??



I guess I am biased.

 

the fact is that an NA 4 cylinder civic fully built can do some dammage with a wide powerband on small tight turns ansd short straightaways. so i respect that. the thing is, yah from maybe of the start it might have more immideate power, but it doesnt increase much in the high rpms, also civic gearing isnt much to work with.. ive raced fully built na civics in my fd that could out accellerate me, and they always seem to quit early. Once i raced a guy that thought he was tough becase he could beat me in my first and second gear... turns out we ended up racing on the highway and as expected I beat him pretty badly.. i dont neccisarily consider it a race unless you reach your top gear.. simple stop light drag racing is such a bore.. and for the turbo civic. im gonna have to pull the bs card on that...
