they still suck in corners
im sure that if a civic has 400 hp, they didn't cut corners in upgrading the suspension, brakes, wheels.. blah blah...

pretty sure of that as well.
Biggest problem with the civic though is that 57% of the weight lies on the front axle. If you reduce weight in the car that mainly goes for the rear and centre of the car worsening the weight balance even further.
For a front wheel drive the EG6 chassis is not that bad, but it's still an FF and normally suffers some understeer (again depending on the speed when entering a corner)
Personally I prefer the hatchback over the coupe as the hatchback manages to achieve good tracktion on a corners exit allowing full throttle exits almost all of the time. It's the entry causing problems. Could be that this could be fixed with adjustment of toe setting but so far I've not driven a single civic without that particular problem, independant of how much the owner modified suspension setup. (most people in the netherlands tune honda's . Really do stick out with an FC)

anyone can say a civic sucks because it's a civic.. and yes, whats sucks about it, is that everyone and their mother own one.
however, it would be kinda cool to own a 400hp civic sleeper and dominate some of the ******** mustang/camaro owners.

So if you missed most of the convo here...
We agreed that a TT civic is BS, but i was just going on what the driver said. But i know he had turbo regardless, blowoffs usually dont lie. Especially loud peircing blowoffs like the one he had =(
And not to mention he blew my doors off... what kind of civic can blow doors off? ;p

A civic that has alot of money thrown into the engine. I just love it when people bad mouth a civic when I see alot pull 13's at the strip. In N/A form. Haha.
Seriously, there are pros and cons about a civic, sure it is FWD, sure it is an econobox that was never meant to be raced.
But obviously, this person who killed you, was doing SOMETHING right.

Ha I believe this has happened to everyone. I got owned by a EK9 civic hatch It hurt but I got over it. Civics dont always suck in the turns either. Plenty of civics do well at track. . . IE: SCCA run offs have alot of civics do fairly well.
