If you can get one, they seem to handle just as well and have a good bit more power. Then again, the Elise has the pedigree and a less powerful engine, meaning you have an excuse to throw a rotary in at some stage

. Elises don't really like to see miles or get that old either, same as any Lotus. Neither of them come close to a 7 as a trackday car though IMO.
