a SR20 can have upto 450hp on stock internals.
that is why so many people are doing the swap. isn't the 4g63 the one that suffers from crank walk?

The 2G motors (7-bolt) suffer the most.

ok I've got to chime in on this SR 4G thing.. I have and had good friends that have both.. in japan the guy that showed me how to drift did bolt ons to his car like manifold little bigger turbo fmic turbo back exh, timer, boost cont, 550 cc injectors. that thing was putting down 400ps (around 396hp) that thing could rev to redline and take it all night long they are damn good engines..I'd take one and do the swap in a 240 any day why are people doing it easy they now know that the engine we got here sucked. now the 4g63 that is also a damn good engine however the 6 bolt block is better that the 7 bolt. the 7 bolt is the one that tends to crank walk. My friend has done a very good job on his talon stock manifold 20g turbo some better pistons and rods stock valve train and until last week stock ecu with safc that thing would take 25 psi no problem he runs it everyday at 18 psi. at 18 psi we ( I get to drive and race it ) smash cobras ws6's, camaro ss on the freeway. 1/4 mi. people don't bother to race him anymore. hell everyone knows that the owner drives the car best..I spanked a built true 5.0 with nos on 18 psi. that engine runs hard and lasts..It all takes money.
now I can see the attitude towards the sr20 because people get one and think they own everyone...well they don't! depending on which one they get..s13 has 205 ps or 200hp, the s14 has 220 ps the s15r has 250 ps . I have it on tape the stock s14 runs 14.5 stock with a good driver..(best motoring) I also love the people saying I've go a black top or red top...well those tops only tell you what eng it is the red top eng was in the s 13 and 180sx. the black was in the s14 and 15 and easier way to tell is the intake the older engines ca18det and early sr20's have the intake manifold curving down the s14 and 15 have it oppisit way (thats the best way I can describe it. I'll see if I can scan a pic of my friends car and post them.

Arright I gave my little speech in a different forum about my friends Talon that went through motors and trannies like there was no tomorrow. Now just last Friday night my other friend's 2nd gen GST totally dropped its tranny at a mild speed of 40 mph and we ran the damn thing over!! I hate 4G63s!! I've never seen such a piece of junk in my life.
