Well me and a detailer from the honda dealership near by ran into each other at a stop light. He has seen me in my stang several times and is an import guy. Well he revs at the light as we are waiting to get into the gas station. Well the light turns green. He drops it spins the tires some. I floor it he pulls a bit then I begin to catch up 30 comes on and I begin to pass him 50 comes on 2 car lengths back. Damn that sucked!!! lol was funny as hell!!!!

sorry had to put this in here!!!

Oh by the way guys watch out for the Maruders! WOW they are pretty damn fast!

Heh, and *that* is why I never take my car to a dealership.

J/K, there are many other reasons. :P

Well honestly both cars are brand new and the civic had not taken ownership and the Navigator couldnt be sold! As for the navigator she never got over 4000 rpms. But had 1200 miles on her from being a Demo (she was a tester for our salesmen she is due to go back to Ford she has no VIN #!)

As for the honda guy he tore the crap out of that Civic. I dont tear up brand new cars especially since I have been interested in a few of them. But this navigator will never see its first owner!

Well that's not so bad then if the cars are owned by the dealership and not people's cars. One of the local guys at our Autocrosses works at a Nissan dealership, and he brings a different car to each autocross.

Last time he brought a brand spankin new SE-R Spec V... did pretty well with it, beat one of the top local drivers in class DSt. Brought a new style Eclipse to the last event last year... said it drove like a pig through the course, that it handled like crap. No surprise there...

Just looked up the specs on the Marauder... torque is nice, but 302 hp in a 4200 lb package? Yikes! That's one heavy car! I can't imagine it being that fast with all the extra baggage. Besides, I would never buy a car the looks like a damn Crown Vic cop car/old people wagon.

Not to mention I prefer a car that can turn... At least in a way most typical American cars cannot do.

Ouch!

Hey watch it...

That maruder is sweet!!

Besides its 1/4 mile times are in the 14's...

Now find a car you can comfortabley carry 5 plus luggage in and still run #'s like that!

Besides 18 inch chrome wheels nice chrome exhaust white face gauges nice leather seats. Quiet and smooth ride. its not meant to be a miata... it can corner decently...

But with that DOHC 32 Valve V8 it can easily be modified to run fast!

And the Navigator was owned by Ford. Once it hits about 10,xxx miles it will probabley be destroyed by ford. Not a single ID # on the whole vehicle. So tearing it up is cool!

:bigok: :bigok: :P

Pretty sweet cop car if you ask me!

Same thing as an Impala SS just slightly faster!!

Strike one: Automatic transmission (also doesn't appear to be auto-stick either)

Strike two: Fugly rims.

Strike three: Name of car sunken into rear bumper (Why does Ford do that?)

While a 5 or 6 spd would be nice... honestly most of these cars if not all would still be ordered as auto's....

it is still a mercury just a fast one!

On the rims.. yep they could of done better... but this is still Mercury and this is a huge step for them!

Honestly I like the name sunk into the rear bumper... also makes it a bit more expensive for anyone who wishes to turn a normal Crown Vic or Grand Marquis with the 235hp motor a bit harder!

But trust me with that auto it is still no slouch!
