I know for a fact that the 105 amp GM CS130 alternator will fit, they have a bigger version thats 140 amps If i remember correctly, i need that model i forgot the name, though.

All you have to do is cut down one of the mounting tabs, its too thick, and get the proper wiring harness found here: http://store.alterna...rtnod1c120.aspx

Than you just splice it to the mazda, capping off the unused wires.

EDIT: i just looked it up, the CS144 is the 140amp one

On my current alt? or the one i'm looking to buy im not 100% what you're asking

My current alternator is dying anyways, At low Rpm if i turn my wheel all the way to one side and brake at the same time it almost always kills my engine. Everything dims out and it just dies its extremely annoying.

I need a new alternator anyways, so if i get one it will be one that has enough strength to run a subwoofer if i choose to get one

i meant the new one. if you're running a higher load on the elctrical system it'll take more hp to turn the alternator. i thought you were getting the new alternator just so you could run more power, didn't realize your current one is toast.

Ohh okay,

I thought you were asking if the speakers and headunit bogged the alt down, they themselves do not, but the brake + steering does.

I'm not sure if it will mess with the horse power that much.. The engine was rebuilt about 15k ago, however it has 180k miles on it, so i dont really care about power loss at this point. I will most likely either Ls1 swap it, or get a TII motor in the next few years.

lol fair enough. i know the big diesel generatos bog down when we connect power to some of the larger aircraft due to them drawing so many amps. we can also do that by running a few thousand ohms ohms of resistance on a load bank. good way to clean the engine lol

Nice install. Did you install foam baffles behind the speakers. If you can't custom a fiberglass box for them you should consider foam baffles. They are real cheap to buy on amazon and really improve sound quality.
