I bought some 5.25" stock replacement speaker for my touring, to my dismay after hacking out the door panel only to find that they will not sit in the stock speaker mount. It seemed like the bose amplifier is also build on the bottom of the speaker box.

My question is how does any of you touring guys change the speakers? I am thinking to remove the top piece out, and yank the bottom piece (bose amplifier away) and maybe use something to trim the diameter of the speaker pod to accomodate for my Infinite Referece 525.xx

Any help would be appreciated.

Tx.

Thanks man, so my best bet is to get the front speaker enclosure from R1 or base model car (basically non-bose) cars.

Oh man, time to post parts for wanted.
