Door speaker amps

After wiring together my old Pioneer's wiring harness to the Crutchfield adapter and installing the works in my GTU, I was quite surprised to find that my door speakers were no longer functioning. 
Turns out that I left out the Power Amp On wire disconnected! Fortunately, I don't have to dismantle my beautiful installation to rewire the harness. I just have to bypass the amplifiers for the door speakers. I had planned on bypassing the amps anyway, but I have no clue where they are. Can anyone help me out on this?

Are there amps for the dash or rear strut tower speakers?
I feel like a moron, but I can't find the information anywhere else. Even my Haynes manual, which I thought was fairly comprehensive doesn't talk about it.

that is the only amp in the system. if you hookup a new stereo you will notice the door speakers won't work

that is the only amp in the system. if you hookup a new stereo you will notice the door speakers won't work
There's usually an amp behind the driver's seat as well.

I found an amp behind the drivers dash speaker also. Wait- maybe that one is for the headreast speakers??? You could always just run a set of speaker wires to the pair of speakers, leaving everything else intact incase you decide to sell.

Thanks for everyone's help. I was able to disconnect the amp, reconnect the harness, and my door speakers were magically reactivated. With the new deck in, I can conclusively say that the door speakers are the source of the buzz in the system. ??? Fortunately, the buzz has been reduced quite a bit from the stock system.
And so, the quest for a decent stereo system continues.
