Cleaning The Engine Bay
I tried your suggestions today:
bought electronics-safe engine degreaser spray and ArmorAll TireFoam, sprayed engine degreaser at the car wash, waited 20min, washed the car, sprayed the stuff off, rinsed the car, applied tire foam to all 4 tires, R1 spoiler, rear finisher, and to the engine, dried the car, and drove off around town for 30min.
When I got home I waxed the car and when I was finished I had to peek under the hood: Very Nice! : )
Thanks to all.

I'm not too sure how I want to clean in yet.. So, the product's called plastic safe electrical and motor cleaner?
If your going that route I would buy plastic safe electrical and motor cleaner.
Similar to brake clean but a bit safer.

The stuff works wonders, dries fast, has alot of pressure coming out the can, and is safe for everything under the hood. Always watch the paint on the fenders with this stuff as you can never be too certain. Its a bit safer then brake cleaner. Also comes in really handy when you are working on anything electrical, spray some of that **** in the connector, blow it dry and it cleans the contacts.
You still will not achieve the level of detail a good pressure washing with a good engine degreaser. Maybe look into calling some detail shops and asking them- be forewarned it is considered illegal in certain states and they may say no over the phone, best bet might be to ask your friends and what not if they have ever had it done. Yea, I'll probably most likely get my engine bay detailed at least the first time.. what's illegal? pressure washing engine bay??
the EPA doesnt like people washing engines unless they catch and filter the run off water, in your state it might not be an issue though. Around here we get our water from the ground so they are strict on what goes in the ground.

Yea, here in NC I don't think there's much concern with that.. but I do need to get some time and clean that sucker out..
hey Fd3BOOST
Where abouts would I be able to find denatured alcohol, given how damn clean your engine bay is I figure I'll give it a shot. You simply just put some on a cloth and rub like a mad man and then wipe clean with another watered down cloth? And what did you use/process you go through to get the plastics and everything else so clean.
You should post a description of the process you used to clean your engine bay.
BLING BLING!!!!!!
