Just strip down the FC, stitch weld the sucker, weld in some bracing as necessary, then put some sound insulation matting down on the big panels. Wouldn't that be easier than some foam stuff?

Holy ****! "hey wanna take a ride in my rx-TANK?"

What about putting in the foam and putting a little air pump to force the foam everywhere?

And what places would u suggest doing this to on an FC? I'm guessing the frame rails that are underneath the car woudl be the place to start.

Ive been seriously considering doing this. I swapped out all my windows and my hatch with another FC here because his had this super nice window tint on it and his hatch was no-where near has nice as mine. The hatch squeeks like crazy. And I didnt swap his hinges, the squeeking comes from inside the hatch structure, and drives me crazy. Ive been tempted to just fill the metal portion with foam to keep the structure from flexing as much.

What is the real point besides adding god knows how much weight? Most people remove the sound deading material to help with weight.

I don't think the foam will add any more safety to your vehicle either. As mentioned it has to bond properly and get in every little space. If you want safety get a cage, wear a helmet.

If you want a stiffer chassis, get front and rear strut bars, an under car brace and look into re-welding the seams. Race cars don't get filled up with foam, they are double, tripled welded.

Nice little slide show on how to make a Subaru have a stiffer chassis.

I had a sqeek in my trunk of my other car, it was the trunk itself, I adjusted the stops and put a little bit of tape on the latch and it stopped.
