anything silicone based in the shop would also cause that... but no just in one part typically

The fish eyes are pretty bad but I can get them out for the most part. I'll just have to shoot some extra clear. Btw no the compressor I am using is my old mans. My booth is still iunder construction. Its most likely a 20 year old tank and I am sure it has some water in it. I have not had too many issues with it thought. I am 90% sure that the fisheyes came from the rag I wipped the hood off with prior to shooting it.
Is the shop you're building for paint and body as a profession? or for fun @ home?

Good to hear it wasn't a moisture problem, it can produce the same outcome(fisheyes in certain areas) At least it wasn't in the base coat, what a headache that would have been. Squirting on a little more clear isn't a big deal, just sucks to backtrack after a nice part is almost done.

Dave, will you have my babies?
Looks rad man. Hope to see it in person. I'll be back in MD this coming weekend. Maybe I can help install that single.

looks good, hopefully by the time you sand out the imperfections
the orange peel matches the rest of the car and you dont end
up sanding too much out
the chroma clear is alot easier to sand and polish then imron
clear thats for sure.
Why dont you try wet sanding it down with 600 and putting some
more clear on it? Dont sand to the color obviously. A chamois
was a bad idea, even paper towels would have been a better choice.
Depending on conditions in the shop and the painting technique the
fisheyes could have happen any number of ways.

If the emron is a harder clear what is the up side that makes you prefer it?
