I had a maxtor HD, the drive was 8 months ******* old and it ******* DIED! I got a seagate from the place I got it because it was under warranty.
Apparently Maxtor has released a big batch of HDs that are prone to very early failure
SUCKS EH.
I lost all my **** too. And then I woke up and I was here.
