A) go to larabie fonts (larabiefonts.com). look for the linnk that says "download pig" basically you download ALL his fonts in one simple zip file. His fonts are THE fonts. you'll notice most of them from TV ads etc.
B) learn to do things without plugins...or use multiple plugins to achieve a set effect. i mean sure the texture plug-in is cool but (and no offense) i know dead people who could recreate your banner from the grave.
C) Photoshops coolest feature is layer transparencies, and just the overall interworkings of layers and how they interact and mesh with each other, they're not just there to sort creations into different orders, etc. they do serve an artistic purpose as well.
but in summary, very well done, just continue to polish up on it (get the pun bling bling king?) and you'll do great. The main thing to do is learn something new form each piece of work.
and if you're serious about digital art create a portfolio so you can see your abilities grow with each piece of work.
also any help you need feel free to ask once i get my compuiter up and running again (it blew up or something)

now if only my HDD didnt have a seizure i could create a new one, but for now im on the lowly 1.4Ghz machine which i never decided to put any of my programs or files onto.... sunuvabitch.

Thanks for the advice Kevin.
I will check that link on the fonts.
that one above is more in the background than just the texture.
I used a color fill>render>clouds>stainedglass> then the other layers. I know it looks basic but ther is more than just the one and I did play with the opacity.
I'll keep at it.
