Drew, just tried your advice,

No go.

Anyone know of a good site that I might be able to research this?

Have you looked on the MS knowledge base online? it might be a known issue ...especially since apparently this has happened to more than one person. Otherwise, I'd have to be there to see it to fix it (are you anywhere close to York PA?). It might end up that the fastest and least headache provoking fix is to reinstall XP again.... and don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure that the latest install is good and/or the hard drive doesn't have bad sectors (could've been the cause of the initial crash). one more thing...uninstall all garbage progs you have. Read: AOL, gator, adaware, Norton System works (all you need is the antivirus, the rest is crap, popupstoppers, webshots, and anything that you DLed off the net to install. Sometimes they'll do crazy **** like what you're seeing. Hoepfully one of those things will get it. Good luck man.

Thanks but I would rather live with the problem and resave the images in photoshop than reinstall windows.

I am not 100% sure but i am pretty sure that the install is a good one.

I think it is a setting problem somewher, juts not sure where,

I did not check the site you mentioned. Can you link me?

Well one more testimonial for Opera 7.0

I just tried to save an image in Opera and it works just fine.

Interseting how I can't seem to find the fix for IE.

Is there a way to uninstall and then reinstall IE?

As far as I have known it is an intergrated program?
