The forum was added because it was suggested and several people wanted it.

It's gets more use then some sections we keep around, so I don't see it as an issue.

You may also notice, it isn't under motorsports.

How about a mod deletes this thread and we pretend it didn't happen?

Cheers.. in the future go over to Teamfc3s and fight the good fight of the drifter wars. I really dont want to see it start up here.

4R's dog threads are enough. ******* Dogs.....

I think this topic has been pretty well hashed out by now, but I'll throw in my 2 cents:

If members have an interest in drifting, then there should be a forum.

'Nuff said. Hard to imagine nopistons becoming some sort of elitist bunch of snobs.

tHE PROBLEM IS education!!!!!!!!

A bunch of "kids" racing around a empty parking lot at 12 AM calling it drifting, when they are busted. Is causing an image problem with the parking lot. The kiddies on the Team forum are a prime example of this mentality.

The other problem is people thinking they can show up at a sanctioned AUTO-X and go "drifting".

IF YOU WANT TO DRIFT SO BAD. Do the responsible thing.

1. Rent a lot

2. Secure liablity insurance to protect the property owners and spectators

3. Invite the media to educate them

4. Conduct yourselves accordinly in the pits and the streets.

Until you do that....DON'T BITCH.. and stay the F%@% away from AUTO-X events. We do not want/desire a bunch of "drifters" there. Go find your own parking lot!!!

That's what we do...and we keep the street drifting to an absolute minimum.

you are part of the problem by "drifting" on the streets. YOU ARE THE REASON THE MENTION OF THE WORD DRIFTING CONJURS IMAGES OF STUPID KIDS OUT OF CONTROL!!!

Perhaps I should just keep my mouth closed here, but I can't help it. Anybody can drive in a straight line. Fewer can tightly maneuver their vehicle at medium speeds, such as in autocross. And very very few can develop the skill to so concisely control their car by drifting. That is why people are so fascinated with drift.
The hardest part is getting the water to come in the window and soak the passenger.

And your problem is your close-mindedness. Do us all a favor and quit acting like a ******* elitist.

Another thing. Quit categorizing drivers inside quotes. You sound like an elitist ****. "YOU" "DRIFTERS" stay away from "US" "AUTOXers". Grow up. Don't peg an entire group for what a few morons might have done to you.

For the record, not everybody who can pull a drift sits there in a parking lot to impress some kids. I sure as **** don't.

And most of us do just like you recommended, "finding our own ******* lot and staying the **** out of your areas."And we also keep street drifting to a minimum(well, the more responsible lot).

"YOU ARE THE REASON...."...oh come off your ******* high-horse.

And it's people like you that are the reason why most racing communities are so one-sided.

Yuki, can you read? No, seriously, do you have any idea what Banzai actually said, or did you just pick him to bitch at to try and make some retard n00b points by bashing a senior member?

He's saying keep the drifting to drift events and the AutoX to AutoX events and keep it all off of the god damn street. You don't seem to disagree with that, but you're calling him an elitist because he's seperating the two genres of motorsports.
