im no scientist freak but to me the easiest way to see when your out of gas is to hrow your gastank for filling up a lawnmower in your trunk, and drive around. when your out of gas make a mental note where the guage is, and jump out and fill up with lawnmower gas and then go home.

sounds like a plan ROBx-7, but im cant reset the timer. i am currently wanting to get the timer to 999.9 miles and **** i want to see what happens. It should stay there but i wnat to get it to 999.9 but i keep reseting it. i had it like 500+ but i cant see all those numbers it makes me feel like my car is dying so i reset it. Now i have it at 100+ so wish me fukking luck lol

Ok, so I am installing a 16 gallon fuel cell in my GLC and low and behold the gas gauge sender makes my guage go backwards. Nice prank huh? I took out the sender and rewired it. Now it's nearly perfect (could use a 2 or 2.5 ohm resistor, but it's so close right now I might just leave it alone). It'll be on E with like maybe 2 to 4 gallons left, but I won't know untill it's installed and I fill it with gas. I Figured I wanted it to get down to E before it was completely empty because I tend to drive on E sometimes. I'll have to carry a gas can with me so I can experiment with just how low I can go.
It's filled with safety foam so I'll be able to stomp on it with less than half a tank.
