Mallrats is a classic
Jaws ,Close Incounters or any other Speilberg flick from the 70's

Brazil.
Most any Stanley Kubrick film except for Barry Lyndon and I've yet to see Eyes Wide Shut.
Kurosawa films. I love the old school tough guy samurai stories. Great source of storylines for the Old West movies to rip off.
Too many comedies to remember. For some reason comedies never get the respect they deserve. To kill a phrase - drama is easy, comedy is hard.
