but if it did, it would need to cranks. which would mean that the car has two crankshafts and that would mean that the ****** could rev really high and would sound REALLY ******* cool. and on top of that, be a very very smooth engine considering the reciprocation of the engine went from wobbly to up and down schmoothe!

the dumb thing about this thread is that he's kinda right, the v10 is a v8 with 2 more cylinders tacked on in the middle. apparently going over a 4" bore was bad for emissions, so they just added cylinders

vipers sound like total ***, they fire on seperate banks, so it sounds like 2 5 cyl engines, which dont sound nice at all

who dug this one up anyhow?

next week a friend of mine is getting the exaust done on his SRT-10 pickup, 200 miles on it and he cant stand the sound, he says it sounds like a vaccum cleaner, stay tuned for updates to see what a Kooks exaust x-pipe and thier own mufflers does to wake up the vaccum cleaner beast!

what still makes me laugh is the guy who thought there were 2 cranks in a V engine.

LET IT DIE ALREADY (and to help the cause, part of the reason the first gen vipers sounded liek **** was cause they had a seperate exhaust for each engine bank, they werent connected at all, so all you were really hearing was two independant 5 cyls instead of a v10... sorta like having two volvos parked next to each other)

You know what, from actually hearing and driving countless Vipers and SRT-10 Ram's, I can honestly say that the sound isn't anything special. And that is a very disturbing thing.
