Must be some extreme die hard rotor heads in here. Starting to question if some of you have actually driven other cars, lol. I love all kinds of cars. If you say that an RX-7 is boring & doesn't have potential, and isn't fun .... you have to be an idiot. I could say I have a different perspective. I had an FC (pengaru on here bought it from me a couple of years ago). I have owned TONS of vehicles. It was one of the slowest I've ever owned. That doesn't tell me that I need to go telling everyone they suck. It was fun at higher RPM's, though. I still love RX-7's ..... and I'm currently searching for an FD to fix up.
As far as breaking loose ..... this (pictured below) is one of my current cars. I can break it loose (yep, even with those meats) and spin through 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. When it was stock, & had stock wheels/tires ..... it would do the same. Not all V-8's suck people. I have V-8 truck (turbo diesel) that will smoke most cars on the road, lol.

Yup. Had the opportunity to drive a regular ol' 2006 Corvette 6-speed convertible over the weekend. The thrust from that engine is impressive. Came away from the experience thinking that 60 grand is a lot of money to pay for a toy.
Also drove the Shinka RX-8 that day. It felt crisp, but positively weak after the 'Vette. I could never own an 8 until they put a turbo on it. The pleasant surprise was the Speed 6, which has a very strong powertrain. I think Mazda has a really nice crop of cars in the showroom this year, and its giving their sales a real kick in the pants.

Ive been looking into getting a LS7 for a project comming up. The guy I talked to on the phone said to expect 475 stock. Thats also what other "realistic" folks are telling me about it. But hey 505 makes me happy...

well in a stock zo6..with its power robbing irs, they put down in the area of 440-450 stock to the wheels. which is less than 15% loss. also, don't get a ls7...its just a reselved ls2 block from the factory..you can get a built ls2 that will last you long for cheaper.
