i think that supercharging would be the way to go for drift and turbo for drag.
ehhh...i dont agree with that

think about it...when are you drifting under 3000rpm?

drifting you want ur rpm to be the highest in that gear simply because you put out most power when ur revvs are higher -- so running a supercharger for drift will not get you more power up top. -- while a turbo would stll be spooling hard

it also depends what type of dragging ur doing.... 1/8 .. 1/4 ... and what times ur running and what sort of turbo / s/c ur using

theres no better or worse for drag really..and NA is still asweome too

i just dont believe a supercharger is ideal for drifitng at ALL...

for technical driving (ie : NOT dragging)

road race: any format would be best...probably NA though since you could push thru a turn hard without putting down a "boost" of power

autox: supercharger is the best or a low spooling small turbo....low end torque is KEY

drifting : turbo would be better - explained above

gykhama......not sure....its drifing, so turbo...but its also very technical and short and close cut, so supercharger...i dont think itll matter

i get your point about the top end power of a turbo but i would think a blowers power curve would be better maybe a little smoother to build more like n/a. you prolly have a nice set up though. right size turbo spools quick but not over bearing. im afraid of getting the wrong set up and have lag then bam all kinds of boost. be hard to control in a turn, or when initiating a slide your rear end starts to kick out then you boost and then your in a ditch. but thas just what i think and you brought up valid points and i give you props for that.

All this is a mute (or is it moot?) point once electromagnetic turbos are designed. They'll use magnetic fields (I think) to spool turbos almost instantaneously. Of course that'll make SCs obsolete, because a turbo that's instant and boosts as high as you want beats the hell out of an SC that is crank driven and struggles past 11 psi.

SCs are right for draggers now.. but this too will pass. Turbos 4 eva.
