Well, my roommate went to use my hydralic jack to lift his Explorer to change the oil, said it wasn't working right. Just assumed he was an idiot, it worked just fine the previous day. I went to use it today, and he was right, it's dead. Any good suggestions on a new one? It was just a 2.5 ton floor jack.

would sucked if the jack failed while you were using it, at least it died resting....or he died resting perhaps?

No ****. Being under the car might have been bad. Good thing I always use my jack stands.

2.5 ton jack is a little TOO small for a SUV. maybe for a honda CRV yes.. but not an explorer.

I killed my 2.5 ton jack just using it on my FC.

Another one of my CDrom drives died. At least my small floor jack is still wheezing along (it's got a bad seal but still lifts part way while leaking oil).
