YES I totally agree. **** the UAW, all it has done in the past 30 years is ruined the US auto industry. More money, more benefits, less production. I AM A PROUD NON-UNION WORKER. ALWAYS HAVE BEEN, ALWAYS WILL BE!

And now GM has to cut spending on everything they do...and than they QQ to the public....god I hate that company. They HAVE everything to actually make themselves do well they just...don't. Make the G8 as cheap as it is everywhere else and actually PUSH it with commercials that dont take place in the ******* country like they do with their trucks. PUSH the Astra, get rid of shitty 4 door saloons with no suspension and depreciate like mad (LeSabre and LeSabre related products) DO NOT cut back on engineering and production except on trucks...should have stopped making them like ******* hotcakes a couple years ago. Pay your workers less and expect more from them!! A production worker doesn't need 35 bucks/hour. If they strike? Fire them all!! It's not like you can't replace them with younger people willing to actually work for the money. Pay them 27/hour like Toyota or Honda does! They have to stop bending to the will of the public so readily and hastingly pushing **** out of their factory half-assed...

actually the toyota plant here has quadrupled the number of interns. so they are cutting labor costs too

See! Toyota recognizes that young people don't need to be paid as well as old people!

Here's an oilman proposing alternative energy sources to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Crazy? Or a voice of reason in a crazy world?

Discuss!

http://www.pickensplan.com/theplan/

Wind and solar require a 90% backup of conventional power plants, for those days without wind or sun. So little savings there. The idea is to provide cheaper power near peak load and spend less money for Canadian peak load power. Also power would be available for compressing and cooling natural gas into LNG to run cars on. Thus less need for imported oil.

Honda has such a car now. It has a pump and cooling unit you plug in over night. It fills itself from your home gas supply. Fork lifts and fleet cars run on LNG now. It is old science. In some cities, cab fleets run on gas. You can buy a carb today for your own car to convert it to gas. Nothing new to invent at all. We import about 20% of the gas we use but could provide that here if allowed to drill for oil everywhere. Also the imported gas is very cheap, as is US gas supply.

T Boon has just a few years left and couldn't give a rats *** if he makes more money doing anything. He wants the best outcome for his country. He has a good plan, and it should have been under way for 15 years now. Short sighted clowns in Washington with the IQs of plants want to have battery cars now. They want solar now. They don't want Nuclear at all because the tree huggers don't want Nuclear ever. Well I want to win the lottery this week. But I'm not stupid enough to run my life now as though I had won the lottery. I wish elected officials had to pass a 5th grade math test. That alone would clean out the house. Solar is barely 1% of total output. It could be 2% with a huge push, tax breaks and big government money in about three years. T Boon could do it in 3 years by himself. So, solar will not save us now. A nuke plant with no

problems from law suits could be producing in 8 years. So no help right now from Nuclear. So ask the dems why we cannot drill here and now? They say it will take 10 years to get additional oil flowing. ANWR is right next to Prudow Bay where the pipline starts. We could have increased cheap supply in 2 years at the outside. And just the threat of drilling here has dropped the price of oil just this week. With a big push to drill on the shelves and ANWR, oil prices would hit 50 dollars a barrel. When new supply comes on line it would fall to 25 dollars a barrel. And Pump prices below 2 dollars.

Are the tree huggers spending millions to get these energy sources on line. No. They spend millions to lobby the congress to spend your money on *** hole projects like ethanol. The added tax on you so that tree huggers can force you to use ethanol is the cost of food that goes up because the cost of corn is up so high. So they tax you with food prices, to make you buy fuel with ethanol in it to give you less miles per gallon, and run one program to not grow corn, and another program to grow more corn for ethanol. So grow less food corn =extra money and grow more ethanol corn + extra money. Piece of cake.

If we could just all get along. Perhaps sit on a hill and buy the world a coke all of this would go away............................
