Here's an oilman proposing alternative energy sources to reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Crazy? Or a voice of reason in a crazy world?

Well I find this somewhat comical, it reminds me of the old railroad days, you put the railroad threw we'll give ya the land. What also make me giggle is that t boon is the largest provider or at least soon to be of wind energy in the US.

So what I wonder is, is this another plan where we foot the bill for the turbines and the t boon gets to sell it back to us? are going to develop a public utility (like that will happen), who pays for this, who gets the profits?

Well, at least it's a plan, which is more than our elected leaders have been able to provide. It's not radical, appears to be feasible, and will likely achieve its stated goal.

I agree on that aspect, it is a plan, but I am weary anytime some richer than rich guy has a "plan" https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.gif

Oh, wah, wah, wah! Nukes and ruined views or oily beaches? You can't have your oil and eat it too!

yeah i agree. its pretty obvious the oil buisness needs to start looking elsewhere

It's like here. We make enough oil (in alberta) to supply the entire country or a good percentage of it but maybe 5% is actually sold here..maybe more maybe less...and we have one rich province (alberta) and where does their money go? Modernizing oil drilling and magnufacturing facilities.
