I've been waiting for the last 21/2 weeks for parts & new tranny. Now they are all here but I can't put them in my car. The reason I can't put them in is because the auto hobby shop on base doesn't have any bays open. They told me there wouldn't be one open until monday. Also my friend who has the tools that I can do the job with has an MR2 in his garage for an engine swap. So now I get to sit in my house without a car to drive and stare at my new tranny that is sitting on the floor in my computer room. Sorry I just wanted to bitch a little.

 

Damn that's rough!

 

Yeah it is. My tranny started making the same noises yours did. It had a leak and was about 1qt. low on fluid. I've got a new Bonez street comp clutch just begging me to be put in with the tranny. I even have a spare flywheel from an 89 TII that's been resurfaced so that I don't have to wait for mine to be done. Now how sucky is that?!

 

That has gotta hurt, that's definetely worse than waiting for parts.

hey,,,i know a way out,,, come to my shop and we can do it together,,,and we can swap my rear, and change my driveshaft ,,,and change my clutch as well ,,, hehe,,,too bad your so far away

 

I'll tell you what, That sounds like a good idea. I'll do my swap here and come up and help you with yours. I have an uncle who lives in Manhattan. I can stay with him or some of my family who live in Englewood, NJ. How does that sound? Really though I wish I could leave this crappy town and go back to the northeast. The only good thing about this place is that I don't have to pass emmissions with my car.

 

that reminds me phins I gave that guy a call and it let it ring a few times and no one picked up. So I will try again tomorrow and see if I can get them before noon Monday.

 

i know how ya feel, ive had my tranny out for about a week now, im waiting on parts from mazdatrix(i missed the ups truck yesterday.....) and i have to get a oil seal from the dealership monday casue i forgot to order it from mazdatrix and its about an hour drive...................this suck si want my car back, ive been driving my g/fs beater car( 1987 chevette) ******* blows and gotta drive her around too cause her car is in the shop,its fucked up............arg the real world sucks ***
