Bought the macbook online today, upgraded to 4gb ram and added vmware, as suggested by someone I know who always knows what they're talking about. Hopefully I'm not too lost with this thing.

VMware is pretty good, 4mb of ram is key apple overcharges for it shouldn't went aftermarket, OWC (i think is their initials) makes good ram thats cheaper and normally performs as good or better then what apple uses for like next to nothing.

Parallels and VMware each have their own upsides i have both but i find the more i get used to the mac the less I use of windows at all and the less i need it.

only time i really need it is playing with "niche" PC stuff, like emulators and random games and tuning my cars. thats basically what windows is now for me like a game console addon for the mac lol, thats the whole reason apple made their BootCamp (lets you boot natively in windows so its like having a fullblown pc laptop) so gamers could play their games on the pc and then when any other tasks come up they reboot to OSX and take care of it without the risks of spamware, virii etc.

No we reserve that privilege for PC owners, anyhow we don't want you, stick with windoze, believe it or not the color has nothing to do with performance.....

I bought my memory from macmall when I bought the notebook, there's a lot of cheaper memory providers.
