Yea amp, apparently you no longer have the right to expect any privacy or the right to expect your home not to be searched without probable cause and everyone is ok with that, make sure your wife thanks the cops when they cuff you and take you jail otherwise that would just be rude.

Actually i don't know if an FFL will touch it, they might be a little uneasy about taking possession. If you want I can call my FFL and ask him strait up, he won't narc me out or anything... he can't I know what he's got in the "other" gun safe.

Doesnt seem like any FFL in Canada would deal with MRI so I might have to call you for a favor...getting it over the border without getting shot is a whole other ballpark.

odd.. just saw on tv a process called magnaflux where filed numbers can still be extracted....

the scenario of trying to legalize came up and the suggestion was the following... local enforcement or atf..

neighbor seems to recall that as long as you they can place it on record and it doesnt show up on their database... finders keepers comes in to play..

theres also state programs where theyll buy them off ya at market value... not that ive got any to sell mind ya...

This is my range ammo, you will notice rob's ammo fit nicely in it. There's only about 5500 rounds there, I am going to the range Thurs and Fri so I'll prolly ruin 500 or so of those. Oh forgot to add, usually what puts it in the "range" section of the ammo is if it's in individual boxes, the longer term storage stuff is in ammo cans.

Maybe email me some details, but where is the serial? Is it something where you could buy a component with a new serial, toss the filed one and have a legal weapon? For example the m4 serial is in the lower, you can buy uppers and **** without even going through an FFL, so it's possible you would buy a lower through an FFL, scrap the filed lower and have a perfectly legal gun, no atf.

what if they do figure out the serial number and its been used in a crime or its stolen?

Where are you going to say the gun came from?
