Humane or not.... in her state, she wasn't really staved to death. She was already dead, just a host for a bunch of possibly donated organs in my oppinion. Anyone know if she was a donor?

this whole situation is fucked up and it makes me so mad to think that some ******* who decides to go on some rampage and kill a bunch of kids and molest them is either gonna get killed instantly via a nice quick painless injection, yet this person who commited no crime and did nothing wrong gets starved and killed in possibly one of the most inhumane ways ive ever read, this death is slower and more disgusting than being decapitated hell id rather be shot with out a blindfold just get it done dont let her set there and suffer with no food. if youve gone a day or two without eating you know it ******* sucks now imagine going without eating till you die. do you know 100% she cant feel anything? cause theres no such thing as 100% and when its dealing with someone who is innocent of any crime and someone who has done nothing to be treated badly is being treated so unfair and inhumane. thank you bye

What I find most disturbing about this all is that millions of people will flock to the aid of some lady who has been in a vegetative state for 15 years, but they probably haven't even lifted a finger to help someone else. These people could have spent their money, time, etc. volunteering at a local clinic to help people who have a very real chance at living a normal life. They could be donating blood to help save peoples' lives. They could become organ donors. They could find a local hobo and give him five bucks - at least he'd be able to put it to some use. Instead, what do millions of Americans do? They call into radio stations, write articles, petition politicians, clog up courts, and wave signs outside a hospital. For what? Some lady that none of them know who has been in a vegetative state for 15 years - well over a third of her life. Prisoners have a better chance at becoming productive members of society than this lady did. People are just using this lady as a reason to pick a fight.

no i think what youre not understanding about people like me is i dont disagree about her being hmm how to put this... let go, i think she is in a state that the best thing left is to go on but i think the way theyre doing it is wrong and no i dont agree and yes i do what i can to help society and i do all i can to give back if i had time and i mean this honestly i work and go to school not sit on my *** believe me i would volunteer but i dont have time but whether i volunteer or joe blow does that doesnt make his or her opinion matter less , because i doubt you do everything in your power 7 days a week to help society. so let joe blow stand outside with his sign because its not hurting you its not watsing your money its not effecting you and her life isnt effecting me im just pissed that someone could be starved to death like that

I don't like arguing whether or not whap happened was right or wrong, because it's all opinionated, based on how you value life (not whether or not you do, but more about what you consider a life worth living), your beliefs, and how you were raised. As many have said, I can only talk about how I would want to be treated, if I were in that situation. Point being, the problem wouldn't be a problem if her choice was clear to begin with.

You can ask the lawmakers to change laws and such, to protect so-and-so, but it could easily be solved with the living will.

I totally agree. I work across the street from the state capitol building, and I see these lazy-*** ******* standing outside with signs every day. So you drove hours, take days off work, drag your family up here, to stand outside with a sign, look like a dumbass, and NOT CHANGE ANYTHING??? Seriously, who drives by, reads the sign "JEB BUSH IS LETTING HER DIE" and thinks, "holy crap, that totally changed my outlook! I am SO going to do everything I can to support that guy's cause!" (and yes, a guy and his family came from St. Petersburg to picket outside the governor's mansion) Be a productive member of society and do your job, make some damn money and help the economy. Nobody cares if you're standing by the road with a damned sign.

Damn I hate protestors. Have I mentioned lately how much I hate protestors?
