[quote name='Rob x-7' date='Mar 31 2005, 09:47 PM']they could have at least given her a lethal injection, even people who get the death sentence get humane treatment and the death is quick and without suffering

yes, although this would be considered a "natural" death as she had no way of sustaining life.

i agree. i think that her getting an injection is more humane than having a feeding tube pulled. maybe alter the law concerning doctors giving the injection to patients.

Yeah tough call. I think they should of let the parents take over. The husband had moved on years ago, why should he say if she lives or dies. Personally I wouldn't want to be kept alive in that state, and if it were my wife I'd probably have them pull the plug, of course with the parents in agreement. I wouldn't want anyone to see me in a state like that and I wouldn't want someone I loved to live like that either.

This is what I thought...Was extremely fucked up the way she had to go...They should have given her an injection to assist her....I'm with 92% of the nation (USA Today Poll) when I say I WOULD NOT WANT TO LIVE LIKE THAT....tube or no tube...Do me a ******* favor and put me out of my missery...Consider this post my living will.

No deal...I already have another dying wish that I get strapped in my FD and rolled off into the Cayman trench...It's 5 miles deep and just 2 miles off the coast of Jamaica. Perfect burrial.

That would just leave you with my beater and bunch of freediving fins.

why is it against the law for someone to assist someone who is terminally ill to kill themselves, but a person who is handicapped and cannot speak gets thier life taken away because thier husband says so?
