The new MINI has had just as many, if not more teething problems than the RX8. And the English, who are normally used to car being big piles of crap, are actually the biggest complainers of all the niggles....

work on a mercedes sometime.... seriously, i've had to work on mine a little, and you work on it and wonder if they hired the engneering school dropouts....
I have a 300CE, no one works on it but me.

The only other mfr. that stands with Mazda in the innovation category, IMO, is Audi. It's not a coincidence that my wife's dd is an A6 2.7 TT quattro.
Yea, VW/Audi is exacly the comparison I would make as a mfr being hung by their own rope...

Actually, my criterea for any car is that it MUST have a top mount intercooler. Hence the FC and the WRX. The Mazdaspeed6 is next...

Thats cuz Mazda sucks. If it werent for the rotary I would never own a Mazda.

We all see the stupid things they do, they always try to out do themselves and then get into trouble. Example: "fly by wire" throttle(rx8), Logicon, CPU, Electronic suspention, AWS, IHI twin scroll, sequential twin turbo... The list goes on.

like very car made nowadays is drive by wire, Mazda is playing catch up

I can see why, cars were plagued by throttle cable failures.

I totaly agree....but the Miata is the only piston engined Mazda worth a crap....when I swap in a rotary it will be perfect.
