yea, si is to civic what MS3 is to the 3.



no matter what this is a whole bunch of magazine racing. if you dont like an entire company for having the ***** to actually go out and tyr to be innovative, try to give their consumers what they want then fine.



go to chevy where they'll produce you the same car with a different shell 100 times over...hell most of their cars have all had the same crappy style interior for go dknows how long.



all we say is "carmakers should listen to consumers" "carmakers should try new things" etc etc etc. then when a manufacturer tries it people are all "oh how dare they try to change the set model for cars, how DARE they."



even if we werent talking about mazda, i'd still have the same point of view if the company was one which pushed innovation instead of illusion.

people do that with music too, like metallica, same ole boring crap, so they drop a bus on the bass player, and get a new one, and people hate em for it, then they put out an album people actually like, and people hated that too, so then they went gay, and we're sort of fine with that

So lemme get this straight. A 2.0 vs a 2.3 isnt a fair comparison, but a 2.3 turbo vs a 2.0 is? Anybody want to throw the new Z06 in there too?



Innovation is great, so long as it doesnt affect quality. And Mazda is known for sacrificing quality for doo-dads and gimmics.

give me quality **** for my money, and products that hold thier value.



I think everyday N/A sedans with close to 300hp V6 engines that get close to 30mpg if not better are pretty damm good if you ask me, I think thats inventive enough.

Do a search! The 2.3 is in the top "S" model, the 2.0 is base "I" model..

The MS3 isnt in production yet.

I disagree that the Auto Adjust Suspension is a so-called 'gimmick'.



The GXL and the TII were the top models. You could either have the raw performance machine, or the luxury model. TII's have a bone jarring, and awesome suspension. The GXL's A.A.S. allowed you to soften the suspension up a bit so your spine didn't get obliterated every time you hit a crack in the road, but allowed you to select that 'sporty' suspension that feels like..well...no suspension at all. The system WILL think for itself if need be...anti-dive, anti-squat and anti-roll. Above 70mph, the suspension automatically goes into it's firmest mode for high-speed stability.



You know that the suspension is changing modes (Either by selecting Normal or Sport, or when it does it on it's own terms) because your volt gauge fluctuates in a more than apparent way. As my drive through the mountains the other day proved, the system is quite active.



I've had two GXLs, and both had very noticable differences for the different suspension modes. It's not a gimmick, it's a luxury option.

Yup. The automobile has been perfected. No further improvements can be expected. The cars on the road 100 years from now will look more or less exactly like a 2006 Toyota Camry.
