Went to Circuit City this weekend, the one here is closing for good. What's sad is there were easily 5 times as many customers there than I'd ever seen, and that includes prior holiday shopping seasons.

It was nuts, 40% huge TVs, all kinds of **** marked WAY down. Too bad I'm not in the market for a TV, I love mine but I'd love one with HDMI.

Well I've watched both the 52" XBR6 from Sony and my PN58A550 from Samsung a bit this weekend on HD football games. My source is HD cable and theirs is HD satellite.

Both are very impressive. The only noticeable difference is that the plasma has more vibrant colours than the LCD. The LCD seems more close to real though, the plasma seems more dramatic colour than if you were seeing it in real life. Preference I guess. I like the plasma still.

I think you can adjust the colour down on the plasma to match, haven't tried it.

I ended up using Bestbuy's pricematch policy last night on my new Bravia, bringing my grand total to $888 for the TV... I think that's a pretty good deal for a 40"!
