Plasmas, Circuit City pisses me off
#1
I woke up early this morning to head to circuit city and check out the deals on plasmas. Online, I noticed they are selling a samsung 720p entry level job for $799 and I was stoked to strike a deal for a steep discount from that price. When I got to the store, the price on the tv was $899. What the? I called the sales guy over. He said the discounts were taken from msrp and no further discounts would be given. Further, he said he was unable to match their own online price! Naturally, I got the manager involved. I offered to buy both remaining units and the display model if they came down below their own online price. The manager outright refused. No room for negotiation below their 10% msrp discount.. No wonder this company's stock is only worth $0.25.
Circuit city FTL!

I do like one thing about circuit city, you can order online and pickup in the store. Best Buy claims to offer this service, but 50% of the time they sell you the **** and you show up and they don't have it. Also best buy will often have better deals online then in the store and they will stand there and tell you to order it online.
Circuit City's help is horrible.

I bought a Samsung PN58A550 Plasma TV and BD-P1500 Blu Ray player for $2298 on Sunday at The Brick (full range furniture chain)
They realized they made a mistake in their computer system yesterday and raised the combo to $2998.
Still a deal, since the price at Best Buy is $3800 for the pair.

Dang rich people. My 32" CRT is six or seven years old, cost maybe $400, and I'm not planning to buy a new one anytime soon.

have you played games on the plasma yet?
What is funny is Circuit City used to the same thing, wasn't more then a year ago or so they would tell you to walk over to a computer in their store and order it there, they did eventually stop doing that (obviously)
