I know my LCD sony has image shifting or something like that, so it cant burn in. I picked up a smaller LG 32" tv for my upstairs bedroom and one of the things I insisted was to have 1080, its like a trick with the price of the TVs, I think most people just look at the price and not what it can do.

The xbox reliability issues is annoying...once you get your new one DONT MOVE IT just leave it be...and hopefully it lasts. I got a new one back from xbox and i lent it out to my buddy a couple days and when i played Forza2 it froze, twice.

I got one when they came out and had the extended warrantee on it so it saved me when they didnt have the instant warrantee through xbox for the red lights of death. I'm on my 2nd or 3rd I'm not sure if they replaced it the first time or just tried to fix it...

i'm gonna chime in on a few things........ i work for Sony.... the tvs are great VERY low failure rate. plasma sucks. dieing tech. current lcds can reach plasma black levels and it doesnt matter if you tilt the tv, no burn in, lighter thinner, cheaper etc. there is a reason sony dropped plasmas! lcd ONLY since around a year ago.

i very recently sold my 2 year old aquos 42" and picked up a kdl40xbr6. there is no comparison.... the sony BLOWS the sharp away in every respect

i have one HUGE complaint about only STREAMING MOVIES! they DO NOT HAVE surround sound?????? WTF! bullshit. for that reason alone i will rent blurays. i want my dolby true hd 7.1 channel surround sound!

ahhhhhhhhhh rant over haha

My friend just bought the 52" version of your Sony and another friend bought the Samsung 720p plasma in 50" I'll have plenty of opportunity for comparisons it looks like!

We are all gonna be fat bastaards by the end of this winter
