How many times have we (the US and UN) gone into the middle east and other countries to take out the tyrant but have put in another one, or threw together a government just to put somebody in charge and have it fall apart and lead to a bloody revolution. The strongest longest lasting countrys forge their own governments without outside help. Britian, France, US, Spain etc.

I think they have every right to hate Americans seeing as how we have messed up their countrys in the past.
I agree completely.

The middle east has been a hotbed of hate ever since colonial times when the Europeans came in and divided the countries up with no respect for ethnic and religious groups. Thats why we have all the fighting. Now its too late, nobody wants to lose ground to another country.

You have to question your sources. Don't believe everything you read, hear, see. Media and history are always broadcasted by the winners and the powerful. Its sad to see how many people can be herded like sheep into beliefs.

Personally I don't care for either canidate.

I don't like Bush because of his disregard for the Separation of Church and State. He has constantly accepted money from Religious zealots and lobbyists. He's given money and tax breaks to christian religious foundations. I think his handling of the Iraqi war is ****. He went in on by his own ambitions. As conspiracy would say, "he let 9/11 happen to get him into an American backed war" just as some would say that they let Pearl Harbor happen so we could jump into WWII. But you really NEVER know what is true in this country. I also disagree with ammending the constitution on Gay marriage. His handling of social security.. and health care.

Kerry, he can't make up his mind. He has in the past voted against issues that he is now for. Not that people cannot change their minds over time, it just doesn't look good. I'm not for "gun control" and taking away my right to carry a weapon. I think the welfare system needs to be reconstructed.

What we need is to change things so that youth can be involved with the government. The old and middle aged carry old views, old sentiments, old beliefs which really do not reflect the country today.

I believe that a lot of countries has a reason to hate America. We've robbed countries of their resources, we've created revolutions, inserted puppet governments, and occupied areas with military presences all while pushing OUR culture on them. There is no "RIGHT" culture, no "RIGHT" religion. But Americans feel it is our duty to press democracy, christianity, and the "American Way" onto people who have lived with their culture for thousands of years. Who are we to change their lives?

As for the national debt, its going down. There is a difference between Nominal Dollars and Real dollars. If you compute the national debt correctly, (ie. adding in inflation) you will find its going down. Same with "over-population" the world is actually growing slower than it used to, birth rates are down, but you need to do the real math. Nothing over space and time is LINEAR.. it should be done LOGRITHMIC.

Population = Birth-Death + Immigration-Emigration. But we always fail to do the real math....

My long post... pretty much stating.. Don't believe everything you read... question your sources...

Without sounding anti-patriot or something (god forbid anyone should nowadays)....America is gay. It's politicians and politics are bullshit. Me voting in the upcoming election, which I won't, is like a prostitute hoping the next John isn't drunk and smelly. Regardless of whether you get your wish or not, you still get fucked. I understand that we live in basically the most prosperous country in the world, and I'm thankful for my lifestyle. I've lived in/ been exposed to terrible conditions while deployed to Bosnia a few years back and I truly appreciate how we live here in these United States. Having said that, I detest everything else about the USA. We police the world...uninvited. We can't get any kind of health care system to work and have a HUGE defecit. Our politicians are systematic liars, our media spouts fear and hate, our eating habits are grotesque, and our legal system is totally fucked (anyone sue Mcdonalds lately cuz their coffee was too hot?). It seems to me that we here in the US have forgotten about two little things called responsibility and tolerance. Problems are always because of the other guy any more. bin Laden and Hussein are the reasons for terrorism or better yet, muslims (not America's shitty foreign policy and global policeing), my kids are stupid because of the school system, I wrecked my car and got hurt cuz no one made me put my seatbelt on, I burnt my nuts cuz McDonalds made the coffee too hot...waa waa waa. It's all bullshit and I believe our society is headed for A. the toilet and B. some type of catastrophic failure because of the building stupidity and helplessness of the American public. I feel for the people who lost loved ones in 911, but I think it was a good thing. Blow up some more buildings if it makes us realize how much our pompass country pisses off the rest of the world. **** the vote. **** Bush. **** Kerry. I'm gonna go be a hermit.
I'm with you man. I can't stand the stupidity and lack of responsibility that the general public has.

This country has gone from a respected nation of new philosophy, prosperity, and diligence to that of a whiney, fat, irresposible joke of the world.

I lived in Europe (Germany) for six years and they live so much more....simple? That's not the word I'm looking for, but being self responsible, caring about the environment, valuing relaxation, and not catering society to the lowest common denominator are pillars of the European lifestyle and it WORKS. People are generally happier, healthier, better educated, and more openminded than here in the States....land of the free.....

Wow, that's not really the impression I've gotten at all. I've only spent a total of a month there, but I found even young educated people to be surprisingly intolerant of other nationalities, almost to the point of being racist.

I was there in November, and a group of university educated people in their late 20's and 30's couldn't think of a reason why our factory 50 kilometres away in France might be closed on November 11th.

I think Kerry is the lesser of the two evils. Bush seems very opinionated about things like religion and not very tolerant of alternate viewpoints. This is a bad combination for the leader of a country that is supposed to treat everybody with an even hand.

A leader should be un-biased and should listen to all parties before making a decision that will make everyone happy.

Bush just spews out nonsense created by someone else, and only listens to 15% of the population when deciding his next move on anything...if that. Not much of a leader, he leads blindly, its pathetic. Not that our leader is any better though. If it was just the world would be a better place...its not, so it doesnt matter.
