you are assuming that there is no such thing as a universal truth. while some may see this as true, Christians view everything in the bible as universal, undeniable truths. as a result, other religions are viewed as false and subsequently worthless. realize i said "religions" not the practicers of those religions.
your statement that some religions might all be right is false. stick to the notion of what you later said that some might be right and some might be wrong. chrisitiany says it is the only way to God and the only way to Heaven, stating that other religions are wrong. as a result, christianity is either right and every thing else wrong, or it is wrong and something else right.

As of right now, I am bordering my decesion on no, just because of the lack of proof and the problem i have with following something with blind faith.
we know there is wind but we can't see it

Than there would be some hint that this bee really does fly...

And there's no sign that god does exist or that he has any hand in any creation in the planet.
you really think evolution could have created what we see now ?
subtract science, and subtract technology etc... drive out somewhere really far away and just chill for a few hours.. look around, it will become hard to believe that a group of gases got together and overtime created what we see now

but if you do it the other way around....
subtract religion, and subtract God and his powers of Life etc... drive out somewhere really far away and just chill for a few hours.. look around, it will become hard to believe that a one all powering being got together and overtime created what we see now

it makes more sense than a Boom... pooof.. there... and from a lizard came a monkey came a human.. seems far fetched..
its funny how some people feel like they have to rely on science.. sometimes you have to take that leap of faith.

Ok, i wasnt going to get involved in this thread due to my religous background...
i was at one time a youth leader of a church...this is not a christian standpoint or view, or a relgious view of any sorts, but from the view as a Human,i think people need to put their lives in perspective and check out how their living, not to please somone else or a god...but as too see that life should be lived for bettering your own life and the lofe of others...
as for the after you die thing...the way i see it, if in the end religion was right and my beleifs true, i die and go to heaven, if i was wrong about an afterlife then i still have nothing to lose...its a win/win situation

I don't know about you but I am not going to convince myself that I am going to heaven on some whim.
I have read the bible cover to cover and it's absolutely full of contradictions, here's a few that I remember (I'm amazed I even remembered these):
"I am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generations."
Firstly, i thought jealousy was a sin, and secondly it says in Ezekiel that "The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father" also, Moses was instructed by God to kill his son, but I was under the imperssion that murder was a sin? "An eye for an eye"; "do not judge" And these are not the half of it, I'm sure google would bring up a lot more.
However I do not regret a single moment of the time I spent at church, because it has helped me make up my mind about a potentially huge issue - eternity is not something to be sneezed at - especially if you're going to be burning in hell
The conclusion I have come to for now is that all belief in god/afterlife stems from the fear of the unknown - its the same as the 16th century explorers who were terrified that they might fall off the edge of the world (BTW the bible says the world is flat). The only difference is that no-one can ever prove what happens when you die. So every now and then someone claims they have the answer - some of these peope are more convinving than others (for instance a BBC newscaster that claimed live on air to be Christ returned was not convinving), but regardless of how convincing they are, they are still wrong.
Just my 2c, I don't claim to have the answer, but until someone comes along with something better, that's what I will believe.

Why do you think we discover new species every year? Because they were really good at hiding until 2003?
Use your brain for once, instead of blindly following your heart.
"Instead you're supposed to rely on your own faith -"
Faith isn't something that can be proved to you, it's not something you need to have shown to you. You believe because you can. The "rules" aren't there to condem you, and they can't make you a better person simply by fallowing them.
It's the fact that you genuinely know better. That you choose the fallow them, that is the faith. The point that you know the stories, understand good and bad. . and still live for a greater good without having it been proven to you!
I'm not a religious person, but I have faith.
Christian or not, it's basic.
