ok guys what about just buying a soundblaster pci card its only 50 bucks





the 512 pci one is 70...maybe i'll get that..considering the one i have is 8 years old

yeah, you can find the value ones for much cheaper. go to a computer store. all you get is the card, no games or other goodies. but its a lot cheaper. i believe creative still does that. when i bought my live!, i paid 60 canadian for it. came in a static slip with drivers. It's called OEM. did it for my chip, video card.
