Name That Tune...

If you know the name of the company, there are places you can use on the internet to find out what songs they've used in commercials.
I know, I used it after I saw the VW as with the guy racing to the church to stop a wedding. Snazzy song.

Can you even download the file?
The ad is by RTE which is one of our domestic stations, promoting the films that are coming up in the next while, I've tried those sites, but there's no Ireland specific ones so they won't have that ad on it - I'm sure someone on here will know it though, I've heard it before a few times too.

[quote name='Rob x-7' date='Jul 13 2005, 05:54 PM']it says its DL into a temp file, opens musicmatch then does nothing

It opened right into quicktime from the link...
It sounds like a big ol mess, but the music sounds like a band from the Desperado soundtrack (that film with Antonio Banderas and Selma Hayek's *****) Not much help, but it is another place to look.

I figured this out, and in case anyone else is interested the song is called Mr. Tang and is played (and as far as I can see, written) by a Mexican couple called Rodrigo Y Gabriele who live in Dublin, which would explain why only I seem to have heard it before.
