I think it can be fixed pretty easy, but it is up to the insurance company. If they total it buy it back and try to get the title rebuilt. Or worst case you now have a race car. Good lucky it will work out.

Vosko, really sorry about your loss. If you need a hitman, I know the perfect person and I'd be happy to provide a reference.

I am really sorry to hear about this. I have been in the same boat and I forsee about a month worth of depression. My bet is they total the car. The Insurance wont give you money for the aftermarket parts and would rather pay the value of the car in the condition it was before the accident. Just make sure your insurance company sees the car and understands the Rarity of the car. They offered me 13k for mine. I gave the documents on how many were made, and the condition and they gave me more then what I actually paid for it. DOn't worry about it too much. I am sure everything will turn out to be okay!

man this is easy to turn into the jettas fault, your rear tire skidmark ends PAST where the yellow line seperates.

When making a turn onto another street, or anywhere other then a private place which wont get a break in the yellow line due to it being a private place, you CANNOT cross the yellow lines. Your rear tire marks go past that meaning he crossed the yellow lines for you to hit him.

case closed, his fault, and hopefully you insured the mods.

I have to agree with Dragon on this. Once you start pulling the crap off and out of the way you should be ok for the most part. I would look at this as a great opportunity to get a fresh paint job and some new body parts.

When you get around to that, let me know if there are any parts I could donate for you.

Sorry about your rotten luck man.

Man, that sucks! Best thing is you got pic of everything as they will make your case in court. "Nolo press" has a good web site on legal defence's by private parties(pro per), but it looks like you may be best getting an attorney as you will need to have him dispute the cop. (the cop wasn't there at the accident, was only on the force for a short time, was working a double shift, etc)

You also my want to go to your local law library (free) at the closest court house and do some reading of your state vehicial codes. Large drawings(with Pic's) are very helpfull in court. Also, how old was the other driver, how long had he been driving, did the cop give him a breath test on the spot, has he had any recent accidents, has he had any recent tickets? These are all things the attorney will find out in the "discovery" part of the trial. he will also take a deposition of the other driver. I'm not sure about NJ, but if you win you can also usually get the other driver and/or his insurance company to pay for your court costs, attorney cost, etc. Where you injured in the accident, did you get looked over by a doctor just to make sure you are alright. These are all things that will be brought up in court. Best of luck and let us know whats going on.

Sorry to hear about your FD, Vosko. I never even go a chance to see it. Hopefully it'll be repairable.

Where did the accident take place? It looks familiar.
