Might Be Getting A Motorcycle
#1
Friend has a 1998 Honda CBR 600 for sale. Told me he would sell it for $1000 bucks. It has 14,000 miles.
According to him it is mechanically in great shape, it's just been dropped on both sides and needs new paint. He said there is no frame damage or any major work that needs to be done. Anything needing fixed is purely cosmetic.
From my understanding it's his backup bike... he just bought a 900rr (something like that).. He uses the cbr to do wheelies and other stunts.
I know the cbr has probably been beat up a good bit, but if its mechanically in good shape, do you think its a good deal to have, get it painted, and ride it around for a while ? I want to start out with a bike that im not afraid to drop or worrying about anything happening to it.
I'm taking a friend who is a good mechanic and has been through 3 cbr's himself to go look at it with me.

I have a bike myself and yeah it scary sometimes but it the greatest feeling you'll ever have. Great price I sold my 1987 dirtbike for that! So if you got the money for insurence and **** get it. Before pissin around doing wheelies and burnouts learn how to ride what to look for ie. I once had an old guy in a mini van come close enought that I could kick his tail light because people don't look! If you get a paintjob get a bright one
