I had a CB550 for like a week, then I bought a brand new ZX-11

if your a idiot who cant control themselves with a powerfull bike then

dont buy one period.

with that being said- the resale on some "starter" bikes isnt all that

great, go with the best you can afford. I would say a 900 and up.

Get what you want.. used or new.. but be safe..

I don't beleive in the started bike thing.. you just need to have control.. if not you should not be on a bike..

Phinsup once told me to get what you want or you will regret it.. I think thats very true..

amen, my advice exactly

you dont want to be riding along and some guy comes along side

you with a bike you were thinking of and you get that sinking feeling

that you should have just spent the extra money and got the better bike.

plus- we like to have the best dont we?

I'm 6 foot 160 lbs, but I do have a lot of upper body strength. I was thinking of getting a sport bike, I don't really like a harley-type bike.

Thanks for the advise

Which one would get more attention, and which is louder? I prefer Harley's more, cause they are louder than ****, and are good for cruising from point A to point B. The "crotchrockets" are just fast. You can redline at like 11,000rpm which is nuts. Just don't get yourself in an accident. Harley's are much better. Especially custom ****. Looks awesome. None of that OCC and WCC ****, independent stuff. Good luck, and decide wisely.

I've listed fast bikes, and below them, slower bikes of the same model. Needless to say, they're all FAST. Some are just super fasterest.

Suzuki GSX-R 1000

Suzuki GSX-R 600 or 750

Honda CBR 954RR

Honda CBR 600RR

Yamaha YZF-R1 ::drools::

Yamaha YZF-R6

If you're feeling adventurous, drunk, and suicidal if you will... Get a Suzuki Hayabusa and slap Nitrous on that bitch. I'll give you 15 seconds to live.

You can hit about 11,000 RPMs in a properly tuned 13B. Does that mean my FD is fast?
