A "California Queen" sized matress is a popular waterbed replacement.

If it's got a box spring with it then I will not be able to use my current headboard. My waterbed frame has the drawers underneath it and we need all the drawer space we can get...

I'm trying to get out of buying a new bedroom set too.

I bet those are really popular in the San Fran area.

From my experience, the frames that box spring/mattress setups usually sit on are a dime a dozen. You know, the brown metal ones that are adjustable. Get a bed skirt, and some under-the-bed storage containers from Target, and you're set. Use the waterbed frame for firewood.

Yea we just have the mattress and box spring on the floor. The stupid bed frame seemed to add a lot of "noise" to the bedroom.

on a hollywood frame you can either tighten the screws at the joints or, of it's riveted, weld it tight.

Squeaky beds rock! It was definately a big change going from a (full wave) waterbed to a regular bed...
