OK I have been asking and looking everywhere for the answer...

I need a mattress that doesn't require a box spring for my bed. I use to have a water bed but decided to change to a regular bed but the mattress and box spring set is way too high... I've seen just the mattress pad in a mag before and I remember it was called something different but now I can't find anything...

Hell I think it'd be easier to ditch the my girl and get my freakin' water bed back!

Oh and I've already tried ditching the box spring idea, she didn't go for it.

Any ideas???

Throw a mattress on the floor and be done.

It worked for me in college! She wants to make the bedroom a little more presentable. I have to admit my house has been looking better...

Thanks Lee, it's more of a start than what I had.

Ive got a regular matress in a waterbad frame. Works just fine. Just find a matress you like, and buy it without the box spring. That is just to raise the mattress to the right height anyways.

On a side note, theres a 6" difference in length, with the mattress being shorter than the waterbed frame.

you can use any mattress with your waterbed frame, or is some weird shape?

I dont have a boxspring, never did.

1st I had a platform bed,

now I have a Select Comfort 5000 bed, best $1700 I ever spent, I cannot begin to describe the level of sleep comfort!!

Yeah I already took care of the length difference.

Maybe it was called spring board?

It wasnt solid board, just like a couple of crossmembers and some weird fabric crap covering it.
