no. Its a domestic. read: "cheap" I don't like GM products at all. The interiors are crappy and they do stupid stuff. like, the Caddilac I drove had no insulation on the roof. It started raining and was incredibly loud inside the car. I notice stuff like that on all GM products.
And that 4.8 is weak.

I never knew they had sc300s, maybe it was only available in the USA. It is surprising how much luxury cars depriciate once they lose their cache...
One thing I would is try to find out how much it costs for basic maintance parts and whether or not the timming belt needs to be replaced and if it has or has not been (if a belt). Lexus parts can get pricey since they are high end cars, and somethings may not be serviceable by yourself or the local garage if it requires some fancy electronic tools that the dealership only has. Do they come with LSDs?

Lexus parts are not pricey at all and servicing them requires no special tools or training.
if you can work on a Toyota you can work on a Lexus
if you cant work on a Toyota and run a repair shop you have no business running a repair shop!

yea lexus' are easy to upkeep and relative low price.
some places will gouge you if you dont realize its a toyota since they see lexus = luxury = you have money = easy to rip.
so just watch for cons.
