ram jam- i think the lexus would fit you perfectly. i say dump the bucket and get the sc. those things would be great in the snow i'm sure. what kind of engine does it have? those things are heavy as hell some i'm assuming a v8? which sc is the somewhat quick one? the 300?

go the sc, definitely

it's a 4.0L V8, somewhat quick yes, SC300 is 3.0 I6, the only one that's really quick is the one that never came to these shores and that was the 1JZ-GTE powered one, 2.5L I6 twin turbo

My buddy's family has an ES300. Total lemon. Right after 100k on the odo the thing started falling apart. And it's not mechanical stuff either. It's electronics - window switches, radio, door locks, etc. Basically the only thing that worked was the motor, and just barely.

Just to clarify a bit, the SC 400 and SC 300 are the same cars becides a few minor differences.

SC 400- early years had bigger brakes in the front, front spoiler (also most had the rear spoiler), of course the 4.0 dohc V-8(250hp), most have heated seats, traction control and a bad *** telescopic steering wheel. All 400's come with a auto that shifts smoother than any car I've driven.

SC-300 had a bit smaller brakes up front (still stop the car great on the car I test drove) 5-speed option, no front spoiler, a lot don't have the rear spoiler, 3.0 dohc I6 (225hp), no telescopic steering wheel and some have cloth interior but almost all had leather.

Other than the engines they are pretty much the same car but surprisingly from what I've read the 400 get's better mileage than the 300 and both require premium.

Right now I'm thinking a SC 400 and a early 90's 3/4 ton 4x4 to haul **** around in.
