Here is a '93 SC400 I'm looking at http://imageserver.carsoup.com/JT8UZ...P0028377-1.jpg they are asking $7900 for it (a bit much) but has all records and they were done at lexus.

A car like this would be ideal just to hop in and drive to work everyday (can you think of a better car for this?). It would also be nice to have a decent car I can TRUST to get me where I'm going whether it's to Burgur King or 500 miles away.

OR I could get another truck and be able to haul **** around when I want to but suffer the mileage. I have a 96 K1500 Z71 that I got cheep and fixed it up that I'm driving right now but I hate how cheaply it's made! The interior makes more creeks than a 100 year old homes floor, trans shifts into 3rd gear like **** (my old 88 cheby did this also) and it gets 12mpg in the winter.

I suppose I could get both a SC400 and a cheeper truck but then I have a truck sitting in my driveway 90% of the time and also my FB that I'm not selling. Insurance on 3 cars for 1 dude is a bit ridiculous but my rates are pretty good being in the 25 and over crowd (the 96 chevy is only $155/6-months, FB is 400 with 250 comp deductable).

Decisions... decisions...

What do you guys think?

They better be nice cars, back in 93 a SC 400 cost 50k with a few options. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Yeah, you can't kill these cars.

You guys think I should get a car and a truck or just a truck or a car?

Dramon_Killer 12-16-2004 10:08 PM

sc300 is basically a 4th gen nonturbo supra.

setzep 12-16-2004 10:09 PM

pretty much, just nicer in a luxurious kind of way.

would you be lucky enough to find a manual one?

setzep 12-16-2004 10:13 PM

If I wanted a manual one it would have to be the SC 300, all 400's are auto. I'm not sure I'd want a manual anyways, my turbo FB is for when I want to bang the gears.

The SC/Soarer are beautiful cars. Just awesome.

The choice IMO is obvious....
